About The Piece
Welcome to a new consortium for bass trombone, tenor voice, and piano! Alex Handley is leading the consortium, and Hutson Rollins and Ben Dondanville are co-writing the piece, which is due to arrive on November 4th, 2024. The work uses the text from T.S. Eliot's "The Hollow Men" to create a song cycle with a song for each stanza of the text. The work will be dark and brooding in nature, bringing out the unnerving emotions in the original poem.
About the Consortium
The fee to join the consortium is 75 USD.
The deadline to sign up is November 3rd, 2024.
The Lead Commissioner, Alex Handley, has the right to the world premiere performance through May 2025.
Following the world premiere, the rest of the consortium will have until the end of May 2026 to give performances before the work becomes public.
